This is a fantastic new online tournament concept for both social players and tournament players looking to play organised matches whilst competing for some incredible prizes and prize money! Playtennis tournaments are played within your local region and can be played in conjunction with your regular fixture comps and Tennis Australia tournaments. Playtennis tournaments are specifically tiered to accommodate all levels of play.

• Tier 1: Regular tournament players
• Tier 2: Regular fixture players
• Tier 3: Social or beginner level
• Age group categories

The playtennis tournament concept is played like a regular tournament but with a number of major differences.

• Playtennis tournaments are suitable to players of ALL standards, with tiered events for over 18’s and age groups for under 18’s.
• Playtennis tournaments are not played at one central tournament location. The draw is automatically formulated and players are given a home/away status. This status determines where your match will be played. Each player will enter his or her home court location.
• The tournament is managed online. The draw is formulated for play within your local region. Players will enter their own results directly into the system. Players will have access to their own personal player profile page and summary of results page.
• Each round of the tournament is allocated a time frame for all matches to be completed and results to be entered.
• Playtennis tournament concept is designed to be interactive and will therefore be the player’s responsibility to arrange a suitable time within the given time frame to play their matches.
• Playtennis will operate a point’s system incorporating a point’s race from Jan 1^st– Dec 31^st in all age group and open categories! Major prizes and prize money will be allocated to winners of the point’s race! Great prizes and prize money also on offer at each tournament!
• Playtennis tournaments start on the 1^stday of the month and must be completed within the given time frame. Playtennis offers a new tournament for each month of the year!

1. Enter tournament:You will be required to agree to the tournament terms and conditions. Enter your personal details and make payment.
2. Log on:Each player will have the opportunity to access and create his/her personal player profile. This profile will then be open to all users to view although no other person will have access to change your profile. You can check your draw without logging on to the system but will have to log on to access your opponents contact details.
3. Contact opponent:As part of the terms and conditions it is a requirement for both players to contact their opponent and arrange a suitable time to play that match within the given time frame. Please endeavor to play your match at the earliest possible time so as to avoid any inclement weather. In the event of inclement weather follow the guidelines indicated in rules and regulations under inclement weather. Home player will have the right to play at his/her local venue and also has the right to waiver that right if he/she desires. Away player must travel to home players agreed home court location unless home player agrees otherwise.
4. Winner enters results:As part of the terms and conditions it is a requirement for the winner of each round to enter the result of that round before the deadline for that given round.
5. Progression in tournament:Playtennis tournaments are knockout tournaments with no consolation events offered. Winners of each round will continue to advance and players must follow the previous steps until eliminated or are in the finals.
