Tournament Concept

This is a fantastic new online tournament concept for those players looking to gain more valuable match practise whilst competing for some incredible prizes and prize money! Playtennis tournaments are played within your local region and can be played in conjunction with your regular fixture comps and Tennis Australia tournaments.

Playtennis strongly supports the theory that Australian tennis players need more opportunity to compete in match conditions. Playtennis is proud to provide this opportunity to assist in the further development of tennis in this country!

What Is The PlayTennis Difference?

The playtennis tournament concept is played like a regular tournament but with a number of major differences:

1. Playtennis tournaments start on the 1st of each month and must be completed by the last day of that month. Playtennis offers a new tournament for each month of the year!
2. The tournament is managed online. The draw is formulated for your local region. Players will enter their own results directly into the system. Players will have access to their own personal player profile page and summary of results page.
3. Playtennis tournaments are not played at one central tournament location. The draw is automatically formulated and players are given a home/away status. This status determines where your match will be played. Each player will list their possible home court locations.
4. Each round of the tournament is allocated a time frame for all matches to be completed and results to be entered.
5. Playtennis tournament concept is designed to be interactive and will therefore be the player’s responsibility to arrange a suitable time to play their matches.
6. Playtennis will operate a points system incorporating a point’s race from January 1st – December 31st in all age categories! Major prizes and prize money will be allocated to winners of the point’s race! Great prizes and prize money also on offer at each tournament!
